This essay was about the community I live in. I had to go out in my community and ask people what they thought about our community. I would ask them how they thought we can improve the community we live in. Some people were not so open to talking to me, but I did find people that did not have a problem talking to me. I found there were many people that felt the same way I did and had similar ideas on ways to improve our community.
This paper had all my thoughts, as well as the thoughts of the people I interviewed. I covered all of the different reasons we should improve our community and the goals we should be aiming for, to make everyone in the community feel welcomed. I knew most from just living here for a decade. So when I was talking to the people I interviewed, we had agreed on most points in my paper. I have some mistakes in the paper, but overall it was well written. It took longer than most papers, due to the interviewing process with the people of Stillwater.
If I had to do things differently, I would have interviewed people earlier than I did to give myself more time for research on the different points I had made in my paper. I covered everything I wanted to. I did want more about when children are bored the things they get into, or maybe put some examples of when I was young and bored, what I did. I would have had some interesting reasons for being passionate about this topic. I learned interviewing people was a little scary, just to walk up to strangers and ask if I could take their picture and ask them random things about the community we live in. Overall, most people were very friendly and after it was over I did not feel scared anymore.
